EPRs are essential for delivering patient care — but they are not designed to provide operational oversight.
In a complex and highly specialised medical environment, no single EPR can solve every operational challenge. While EPRs excel at clinical documentation, they are not built to manage flow, capacity, risk, or system pressure across a whole organisation.
iBox addresses this gap by recognising the underlying data, flow, process, and resource challenges faced by modern hospitals. Through intelligent dashboards, embedded operational logic, real-time reporting, and decision-support tools, iBox enables teams across the Trust to access the right information at the right time — supporting confident, timely, and coordinated decision-making.
That’s why we built iBox.
iBox sits alongside your EPR to provide live operational insight, bringing together clinical and operational data into a single trusted picture. This enables managers and clinicians to identify bottlenecks early, manage escalation effectively, protect patient safety, and maintain control during periods of intense pressure.
Chief Operating Officer
iBox sits at the heart of our hospital operations—giving our site office the live, system-wide visibility needed to manage capacity, safety, and patient flow in real time. By bringing together operational and clinical data into a single, actionable view, it enables faster, more coordinated responses across departments—supporting safer care and smoother journeys for our patients.
iBox was not created in isolation. It was co-designed with NHS teams — on wards, in board rounds, and through conversations with matrons, nurses, clinicians, and executives.
The goal was simple: turn complex hospital data into clear, timely insight that supports better decisions when pressure is highest.
Where EPRs focus on the patient record, iBox focuses on the hospital. Together, they provide a complete operational picture, supporting safe, efficient care for every patient.
Our co-founder, Najum Khan, is a healthcare technologist and long-standing NHS partner who has spent over a decade working inside hospitals alongside operational teams.
When Najum hears “I just need to be able to…”, his technical brain immediately gets to work. Not on selling software, but on understanding the real operational problem behind the request.
Built and refined with nurses, doctors, site managers, and executives, iBox focuses on improving efficiency through familiar systems, clear information, and trusted data, supporting better decisions and better outcomes without adding complexity.
And because outcomes matter more than claims, we do not rely on glossy promises. If you would like to understand the impact iBox delivers, contact us below and we will share real performance metrics based on live operational data, not outlandish claims.
EPRs are designed to record patient care. iBox is designed to show how the hospital is operating in real time. Together, they provide a complete view of what’s happening for both patients and the organisation.
Here’s how iBox complements your EPR:
iBox provides a live view of occupied, available, and soon-to-be-released beds, enabling teams to plan admissions, transfers, and discharges safely and proactively.
iBox translates infection and IPC data into clear operational views, showing which patients require side rooms, isolation, or movement restrictions to maintain safety.
iBox highlights discharge readiness, overdue patients, and emerging ED pressure, giving operational teams the situational awareness needed to reduce delays and unblock flow.
iBox uses clinical observations to automatically flag deteriorating patients, ensuring the right teams are alerted early and can respond quickly.
iBox supports teams to plan, track, and coordinate expected and potential discharges in advance, helping ensure tasks are completed and beds are released on time.
iBox brings together flow, ED pressure, ward activity, and capacity into a single real-time picture, giving leaders the visibility and assurance needed to manage the hospital safely under pressure.
All insights are available in real time and designed to

General Manager
iBox has transformed how our teams communicate across the hospital. It gives everyone a shared, real-time view of patient flow, streamlining coordination and enhancing safety at every stage of care.
Chief Operating Officer
iBox gives us clear, real-time visibility of performance—highlighting pressure points, aligning teams, and supporting safer, more coordinated care. It’s changed how we manage patient flow under pressure.

A structured approach to achieving real-time grip, coordination, and assurance across hospital operations.
A single, trusted view of flow, capacity, and safety across the hospital. Eliminates fragmented reporting and conflicting operational narratives.
Shared operational picture across clinical, operational, and executive teams. Ensures decisions are coordinated, not siloed.
Operational insight drawn from existing PAS, EPR, and core systems. No parallel processes or frontline disruption.
Insight designed to support decisions, escalation, and intervention. Focuses on what needs action, not retrospective reporting.
Demonstrable grip on flow, risk, and patient safety in real time. Supports internal governance and external oversight expectations.
Chief Information Officer
iBox is a platform that allows real-time information to be shared across the organisation, securely, with role based access, yet using HTLM 5 enables me to share this economically rather than a ‘per-seat’ licence.
This is the innovation that the NHS is crying out for. Real-time information with the flexibility of using all my data sources, agnostic of vendors yet helping those vendors embed their software by providing management tools to combine data to create meaningful metrics to manage flow.
They trust us, work with us, and believe in iBox
