Accessibility Statement for iBox Healthcare

This accessibility statement applies to the iBox Healthcare web application.

iBox Healthcare is committed to making its digital products accessible and usable for NHS staff, including users with disabilities or access needs. iBox is a browser-based operational intelligence and command centre platform used by authorised NHS staff to support patient flow, bed management, discharge planning, escalation management, deteriorating patient visibility and operational reporting.

Accessibility Standard

We are working towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

At present, iBox has not yet completed a formal independent WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility audit. We are undertaking an accessibility review of the product and will address identified issues through the product roadmap.

What We Are Doing to Improve Accessibility

Our accessibility improvement plan includes reviewing and testing:

  • Keyboard navigation
  • Colour contrast
  • Dashboard readability
  • Form labels and input fields
  • Focus order and visible focus indicators
  • Screen-reader compatibility
  • Error messages and validation prompts
  • Use of colour in charts, alerts and dashboard indicators
  • Text scaling and responsive layouts
  • Accessibility of core user journeys

We will prioritise accessibility issues affecting core user journeys, including login, dashboard navigation, patient-flow views, bed management views, discharge workflows, board-round functionality and reporting.

Known Limitations

Some areas of iBox may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. These may include complex dashboards, data tables, charts or visual indicators where accessibility enhancements are still being reviewed.

Where colour is used to show status or risk, we will work to ensure that colour is not the only method of conveying information.

Feedback and Contact Information

Users can report accessibility issues or request support by contacting:

When reporting an issue, please include the page or function affected, the assistive technology or browser being used, and a description of the problem.

Escalation

If an NHS organisation identifies accessibility issues during implementation, these should be raised through the agreed support and implementation route. Accessibility issues will be reviewed, prioritised and tracked through the iBox product development process.

Review Date

This accessibility statement will be reviewed at least annually and whenever significant changes are made to the iBox user interface.
